Day 90:
A bright bromeliad flower reduced to this in its last few days. Quite dramatic in a sad way against the bright green leaves.

Day 89:
This is not the typical brown 'songololo' which is quite common but I seem to have quite a few of these bright red ones about.

Day 85:
We had our weekly visitors this morning. I gave them some stale bread and this mum came and sat on the deck hoping I would throw something directly at her so she would not have to join the bun fight on the grass.

Day 81:
This looks like a rolled up hedgehog but sadly it is just a seed pod I discovered on the deck, probably dropped by some winged creature as it does not come from my garden. Not very large in size and full of spikes.

Day 77:
I find myself drawn to this old palm root stump often so I have added another view. The previous was in January and it was a side on picture showing a small mondi grass struggling to survive in amongst the dried roots. This is top down and shows how fibrous and tough they were. They are becoming quite brittle as they dry out.

Day 76:
When I got home late this afternoon it looked like we may get some relief from the heat & humidity and to confirm my hopes the storm lilies were in flower. We have now had a small shower and there are some rumblings in the distance.

Day 74:
Oops! Collapsed after a hectic day at the machine and this did not go up. Took a breather around the garden and found this on the branch, tucked up under the leaves of a Yellow-flag Bush.

Day 73:
The detail on this most non descript little flower on a plant I was given by a friend which she had planted in an odd wine glass that she was discarding amazes me yet again. The flower is approx +/- 2mm in size.

Day 72:
I have the word 'fresh' running around in my head at the moment as it is the group challenge theme. Saw these new shoots on my replanted miniature rose bush and could not resist.

Day 71:
.... or should it be night! Have been very busy today so almost found myself caught out without a snap to share. These bulbines are in a pot outside the kitchen door and the outside light shines on them. Quite impressed with my first 'night' shot. I have no idea what the spot is on the left.

A hadeda feather. I was not sure I would be able to catch the iridescence of the feather but the right lighting and it worked. Yeah!

A flower off the Bulbine plant (or Cats Tail). Again I am amazed at what I can pick up with the camera what I cannot see with the naked eye. The detail in the flower. I am continuously amazed!

I opened the curtain this morning and in my early morning half sleep saw a number of 'eyes' looking back at me from the stem of this large delicious monster plant! Eyelashes included!

Day 63:
Preparing for a demo tomorrow at our local guild I held up a piece of freshly painted applique paper to the window and this is what I saw. What a yummy piece! Taken without the light behind it it looks quite mediocre.

Day 62:
The top end of a variegated Bougainvillea branch. It does not flower much but looks pretty on its own which is good enough for me!
