It has taken 23 days for the buds that I took on the 31 May to finally start opening.  By next week I should have a solid splash of red in this corner.

Day 172:

An accident with the fish tank meant a clean out of a cupboard which lead to the discovery of the collection of old long-playing records that we have been sitting on.  What a blast from the past!

Day 166:

I always associate plant seeds as being dry and light but these are so bright and squishy looking.  They are from a very small indigenous plant I got years ago. So long ago I cannot remember the name but it has a very delicate blue flower.

Day 162:

The sun is shining and it is great to be able to open up the house and let the warmth in.  Although weeds this bunch of clover popping thru the garden bed edging looked very happy.  No 4-leafed clover amongst that lot.  It is amazing how flat and relatively unmarked the leaves look in the photo.

Day 159;

Yes I also have a fascination for moss.   With such a wet early summer all sorts of new 'things' have popped up in the garden and the different kinds of moss have been incredible.  Although it has been hot and dry these still manage to do there thing every now and again.
