Day 151:

I have a mass of these plants in a corner (no name brand) and they are covered with heads like these which will all open out a bright red colour in a few days time. Can't wait.

Yes, I have once again presented a picture from the past week but this is the last.  All the bull rush heads were exploding and sending masses of seed all over the place.

Day 148:

Yes we returned yesterday and yes this was taken on the way home yesterday ...... but always enjoy the sign!

27 May 2011

Day 147:

Loved this collection of sign posts on the road and yes all pointing down the same dusty dirty road to what seems nowhere.

26 May 2011

Day 146:

Again fungi cropped up everywhere but this was amazing.... it was on a young bare tree by the river/

25 May 2011

Day 145:

This is a plank of a wooden bridge. What caused these amazing colours and reactions I have no idea.

24 May 2011

Day 144:

Even on their last legs somethings I find beautiful and interesting.

23 May 2011

Day 143:

The early morning sun managed to penetrate the forest I was walking thru and find another small tree showing off it wonderful colours.

22 May 2011

Day 142:

Yes we had frost and it was freezing!

21 May 2011

Day 141:

Even the tops of the wooden posts were amazing but deadly for splinters.

20 May 2011

Day 140:

What a wonderful break and the Berg did not disappoint.  The colours of the turning leaves were magnificent.  This is a small tree that had seeded itself between the wooden poles surrounding the verandah and it glowed along with the rest.

Day 139:

This little feather was resting on the wall ledge on the way to the washing line!

There will be no postings for 8 days as I will be away in the mountains away from all modern technology. Yeah!

Day 138:

It is local election day and I was hoping to get the buzz from the polling station.  There was absolutely nothing so my pic is of the second lily which was almost open and I have done it in sepia which I quite like.

Day 136:

This lily has just opened from the bouquet I was given for mothers day.  The clash in colours is wonderful.

Day 135:

Went down to the beach front for breakfast...... a perfect day.  This is a picture of the pier outside Ushaka Marine on South Beach which houses a small restaurant called Moyo. My better half is on the right!

Day 134:

A portion of a piece of rusty garden art!  It is a flower on a stem standing amongst a lot of foliage.

13 May 2011

Day 133:

Raindrops on a wooden bench.  Yes, done before but I quite like this one in black and white and from side with the morning sun catching the water.  Not perfect .... but getting there!

12 May 2011

Day 132:

Not sure what happened yesterday.  Thought I had posted this.  Anyhow, yummy threads that I bought the other day on impulse!  Elle natural cotton, double knit.

Day 131:

I had the pleasure of revisiting Ammazulu Palace, a 5 star Boutique Hotel in my area. You definitely have to visit twice.  First time you are blown away .... the second visit you are able to control your awe and focus a little more.

Day 130:

This is one of 8 cushion covers (all different) made by Mum over 21 years ago for my dining room table chairs and they are still going strong.

08 May 2011

Day 128:

This had my hubbie guessing ......... the top end of a chicken thigh bone, very much cleaned and dried out to be used in a quilt.

07 May 2011

Day 127:

Playing around again and unfortunately really needed a better camera but still amazed.  This is a shot taken thru the opening of a 'multiplier' (child's toy picked up in 1999 in Portsmouth while on holiday with sister).  This is one image of three possibilities.  The other two repeat the image in a circle and the other in a straight line.  Really fun!

Day 126:

Had a busy day helping the local quilting shop finishing off  quilts for Japan and realised oops no picture yet.  Very impromptu ........ the reverse side of the inner of a Ferrero Rocher chocolate box !!!!

05 May 2011

Day 125:

I have done two pics again but this time very definitely.  This is a mosaic light that I made over a year ago.....the top pic is switched on and the second not. It is amazing how the picture changes.  I am changing the wall mirror in my room by reshaping the mirror and then I am going to mosaic around hence the focus on mosaics at the moment.
