Decision made!

This is it.  Rectangular and portrait.

I may soften some of the background .... lose some of the detail and the idea, if it works, will be to have the 3 front bits as attachments but fairly flat !!

Now to source the materials.  I saw some fabric today which might work.  If not it is back to dyeing my own.  The background I will probably dye myself.

March possibilities

Hopefully I can catch up and be on time this month.  Ha! ha!

Quite like this pic but do I want a monkey glaring at me off the wall ..... not so sure!

A new shoot? Possibility?  Could be thread painted on top.

This could be a challenge, capturing the drops of water.  Maybe just the left half?

March definitely is not an easy month for pics that say ....this will work. I took some weird pics! This is going to be my biggest challenge so far and might even re-look at the month again.

Hmm!  Need to really think long and hard about this one.

february - finished

Finished and mounted on an artists canvas (12 x 12).  Background dyed and stitched with the stems painted in afterwards.  The frog is a commercial piece of fabric and he has a piece of thermor behind him and then I went in with my favourite ...... Pentel Fabric Pastel Crayons. The shimmer was created by using the end of a kebab stick and a pin head and silver paint.

Very happy with him.

Materials ?

Playing catch up again - where does all the time go!

Fabric 'brewing', the splotchy green fabric on the left will probably do for the frog but I will need to find some fawn colour as well.

As if to remind me to get on with it ..... my above friend or a family member, plonked him/herself on the lounge window opposite where this picture was taken, just over a year later. So happy to know they are still around.
