FEBRUARY'S CHOICE

I am definately going with the frog.  He is sitting on a leaf that it bent downwards so would be looking at the ground if the leaf was upright. This is annoying me so I will use artists licence and point him the other way.  Enlarging the picture has shown so much more detail.

The shiny bits when viewed close up look like hundreds of very small sequins.  He also needs to be put at a slight angle.  Now I need to get out all my green and caramel fabrics and see what's missing.

JANUARY REVEALED!

January, finally as good as finished.  Still needs to be mounted on an artists canvas. Could have a bead or two, or a few colonial knots added.  Time to rest my eyes and analyse at a later stage. Generally very happy ..... would have enjoyed it more if it had been done not so rushed but thats life!

FEBRUARY POSSIBILITIES!

I have been looking at the February options . ...... three at the moment?

...the soft, almost translucent shapes would be a challenge!

possibly a section off -  around the raindrops. But I would prefer another subject!

...and then I do like my frogs. Top of the list?????

BACK ON TRACK !!!!

I did not see that coming ..... my life went belly up and unfortunately this got pushed to the back burner far longer than anticipated!

I am back on track, catching up furiously !

However!  After sketching out the design and measuring out the shapes against my wonderful fabric , I discovered I was short .....hey ho!

Back to the drawing board and here is the next batch of fabric 'brewing'.  I know with this technique trying for the same colour is not going to happen, plus I have decided to use cotton sateen this time around, so a totally fresh batch it is.

Yummy!

Unfortunately today is wonderful and cool and drizzly but not the best for dyeing so I have cling wrapped the bowl and put it in a warm place.  This afternoon reveals!
